How We Review

  1. We test some, and check the evidence for all. We use some of these products ourselves, but not every one. Every review draws on the manufacturer's published specifications, the current listing and what verified owners keep reporting, and we never print a figure we can't trace to a source.
  2. We score it on weighted criteria. Each review breaks the score into the criteria behind it, so you can weight them differently to us.
  3. We publish the drawbacks. Every review names what the product does badly. A review with no drawbacks is an advert.
  4. We compare on price. Each product is set against the alternatives in its bracket, because "good" depends on what it costs.
