Three-Speed Evaporative Cooling System
Three fan speeds, high, medium and low, blow air through a water-soaked filter, which cools the air slightly as the water evaporates. It draws 3 watts over USB.
The Swonuk Mini Air Cooler Fan is a personal misting fan with modest cooling, best for desk workers. Rated 2.8 out of 5 across 356 user ratings. The main drawback: small water bottle needs regular refilling. We scored it 2.5 out of 5.
Despite the air conditioner name, this Swonuk is a small misting fan: it can cool the air right in front of you at a desk or bedside, but it will not cool a room, and it can't do the work of real air conditioning. Used that way, some people find it a welcome personal breeze on hot days or during a hot flash. Reliability and durability are the weak spots, and experiences are split between units that do the job and units that barely work, so go in with modest expectations.
NoFussDeal rates the Swonuk Mini Air Cooler Fan 2.5 out of 5 at $8.51. Last updated September 26, 2026.

The water bottle holds up to 350 ml and works best about three-quarters full. You can fill it with cold water or ice cubes, and the filter should soak up water before you switch on.
A mist button turns on a humidifying spray for an extra cooling effect, and the unit has a built-in LED light.
A slim ABS plastic body with a top handle, powered by a USB cable, sized for a desk, bedside table or coffee table.

This is the first "cooler fan" I've bought that works decent. Others were mostly junk. Be careful on your choices of these items. This one works as it should, however, it's not an A/C!Ride103Amazon Customer · August 25, 2020 · Verified

Did what I expected! Useful when your warm for a short period. Oh when your having a hot flash. I would for sure buy another for a gift that some one would enjoy cooling off.Ger 1960 · August 12, 2020 · Verified
Check the box for the cooler, the USB cable and the instruction manual, and look the unit over for any damage.
Fill the bottle about three-quarters full, up to a maximum of 350 ml, with cold water or ice cubes. Don't fill it to the top.
Give the filter time to absorb the water before switching on, so cool, fresh air comes through sooner.
Stand it upright on a desk, bedside table or coffee table close to where you sit, since it cools only a small area.
Plug in the USB cable and pick low, medium or high. Angle the vents towards you.
Press the mist button to turn the humidifying spray on or off.
Only for some buyers: we score it 2.5 out of 5. The Swonuk is a small misting fan that can make the air right in front of you feel cooler, with three speeds, a mist button, an LED light and a handle.
Rated 2.8 out of 5 across 356 user ratings, with 30% giving it five stars and 35% one star.
Cools only the area in front of it, not a room. Reliability and durability draw frequent complaints.
Clean the water tank once a week to remove deposits. Wipe the outside with a dry cloth.
Add ice cubes or ice water to the bottle to speed up cooling for a short, extra-cool burst.

Hey It's Honeysuckle
The Swonuk is a small misting fan that can make the air right in front of you feel cooler, with three speeds, a mist button, an LED light and a handle. It is not an air conditioner, and Swonuk itself says it cools a small area rather than a room. Owners who treat it as a personal fan are happy with it, but cooling performance is mixed overall and reliability, durability and value draw more complaints than praise.
Fine as a small misting fan for your desk or bedside if you set your expectations low. If you need a room cooled, you need an air conditioner.
