At 1500 watts on 120 volts, ZKIAH rates the kettle to boil a full 1.7 litres, roughly 6 to 7 cups, in under 5 minutes.
A thermometer on the kettle shows the water temperature as it heats, so you can switch off manually when it reaches the temperature you want.
The inner pot, inner lid and spout are food-grade 304 stainless steel, and a food-grade PP filter sits in the spout. The water level indicator is BPA free.
A STRIX thermostat switches the kettle off automatically once it boils or if it runs dry, within 30 seconds according to ZKIAH. The kettle lifts off a 360° base with a cord winder underneath.

Remove all packaging. Fill the kettle to the max line, boil, and pour the water away. Do this a couple of times before your first drink to clear any new-appliance taste.
Put the base on a dry, level counter away from the edge. Unwind as much cord as you need from the reel underneath and plug it into a 120-volt outlet.
Fill through the spout or the lid with fresh cold water, staying between the minimum and maximum marks on the water level indicator.
Make sure the spout filter is in place so scale and loose bits stay in the kettle.
Set the kettle on the base, any way round, and press the switch. The LED glows blue while it heats and goes out when the water boils.
For green or white tea, watch the dial and switch off by hand when it reaches the temperature you want. Remember the dial reads in Celsius.
For most buyers, yes: we score it 4.1 out of 5. The ZKIAH retro kettle is easy to like.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 across 437 user ratings, with 71% giving it five stars and 8% one star.
Thermometer reads in Celsius only. Build quality and plastic parts get mixed reports.
Hand wash only and wipe the outside clean. Descale regularly if you live in a hard-water area.
For green tea, switch off well before the boil. For oolong, let it climb a little higher.
The ZKIAH retro kettle is easy to like. It boils 1.7 litres quickly at 1500 watts, keeps water in contact with 304 stainless steel, filters the spout, and uses a STRIX control for reliable shut-off and boil-dry protection. The thermometer is a genuinely useful extra for tea drinkers who want to stop short of a full boil, though it reads only in Celsius. It is the look that wins people over, and it draws compliments. Weigh that against mixed reports on build quality and plastic parts, and some units that do not last.
A pretty, quick kettle with a handy thermometer and good safety controls. Buy it for the style and speed, and keep the receipt in case yours is one of the less durable units.
