Take out the transporter, carrier and four cars, and check that every wheel is firmly attached before handing the set over.
Give the wood a wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let it dry. There is nothing to assemble.
Lower the boarding ramp together and show your child how to drive a car up and back down.
Unhitch the carrier from the cab so the two can be played with separately, then hitch them back together.
Load the cars one by one while counting, or name each color as it rolls off the ramp.
Loading the cars back on at tidy-up time keeps the small pieces together and out from under furniture.
