MUXA MFi Lightning Cable 6-Pack Review: A Cable in Every Room, at Standard Speed

MUXA's six-pack puts a Lightning cable in every spot you charge: two 3 ft cables, three 6 ft cables and one 10 ft cable, each with a braided nylon jacket, aluminium alloy connector shells and Apple MFi certification. They connect a Lightning iPhone or iPad to a USB-A wall adapter, car port or computer for charging and syncing. The questions that matter are how fast a USB-A cable can charge a modern iPhone, and how long cheap connectors keep making good contact.

TL;DRThe Short Answer: Is the MUXA MFi Lightning Cable Worth It?

Six MFi-certified Lightning cables in three lengths solve the missing-charger problem cheaply, but they are USB-A cables rated at 5 volts, so an iPhone charges at standard speed rather than the fast rate a USB-C charger delivers. The braided jackets hold up well. The connectors are the weak point, with some cables failing after months and one throwing a moisture warning until its contacts were cleaned. Expect a year of honest service, not forever.

NoFussDeal rates the MUXA MFi Lightning Cable 4.4 out of 5 at $9.99. Last updated September 27, 2026.

Strengths and Drawbacks

What works

  • Six cables in 3, 6 and 10 ft lengths cover the car, bed, sofa and desk.
  • Apple MFi certified for Lightning iPhones and iPads.
  • Braided nylon jackets resist fraying near the plugs.
  • Colour-coded connectors make each cable easy to identify.
  • Plenty of spares for family members and visitors.
  • Handles charging and data syncing.

What does not

  • USB-A and 5 volt rated, so no iPhone fast charging.
  • Some cables stop charging properly after months of daily use.
  • Connector contacts can need cleaning to clear charging errors.
  • Needs a USB-A charger or port, not a USB-C-only adapter.
  • Lightning only, so no use for USB-C iPhones and iPads.

Features in Depth

01

Six Cables in Three Useful Lengths

Cables 6 Lengths 2 x 3 ft, 3 x 6 ft, 1 x 10 ft Colour Multicoloured

The pack holds two 3 ft cables, three 6 ft cables and one 10 ft cable, 34 feet of cable in all. The split matches how most homes charge. The short cables suit a car's USB port or a desk, where a long cable only tangles; the 6 ft cables reach from a wall outlet to a bed, sofa or desk chair so the phone can be used while charging; and the 10 ft cable crosses a room to an armchair or a far corner of a bedroom. One owner who mapped the cables to a car, bedside, sofa, work desk and living room found the mix just right, and wished they had bought a second pack for the kitchen and garage. Each cable has a differently coloured connector, which makes it easy for a family to tell them apart, and with six in the box there are spares for visitors and for the cables that inevitably go missing.

02

MFi Certification and Compatibility

Certification Apple MFi, RoHS, CE, FCC Connectors USB-A to Lightning Compatible Devices Lightning iPhone and iPad

The cables carry Apple MFi certification alongside RoHS, CE and FCC marks. MFi certification means the Lightning connector is built under Apple's licensing programme and includes an authentication chip, so iPhones and iPads should accept the cable without the accessory-not-supported warning that uncertified cables can trigger after an iOS update. MUXA lists compatibility from the iPhone 5 through the iPhone 14 Pro, along with Lightning iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad and older iPad Pro models. The other end is USB-A, so you need a USB-A wall adapter, car port or computer port; newer chargers with only USB-C sockets will not take it. Certification helps with acceptance but does not guarantee the connector lasts: one owner's iPhone stopped recognising a cable after about a month.

Charging Speed and Data Sync

Maximum Voltage 5 volts Current Rating 2.4 amps Data Transfer Rate 0.48 Gbps

MUXA advertises fast charging, but the cable's own ratings, 5 volts and 2.4 amps over USB-A, put it at standard USB charging speed. The faster charging recent iPhones support uses USB-C power delivery at higher voltage, which needs a USB-C charger and a USB-C to Lightning cable, so on these cables expect steady rather than rapid charging. Most people using them overnight, in the car or at a desk will not notice, and several find the speed perfectly adequate, but one owner describes charging as very slow. Syncing to a computer runs at up to 0.48 gigabits per second, the USB 2.0 rate that Lightning cables use, which is fine for photos, backups and music. MUXA credits thicker, high-purity copper wires for stable charging.

Braided Build and Connector Longevity

Jacket Braided nylon After-Sale Service 180 days

The braided nylon jacket is the strongest part of the build. It resists the fraying and cracking that rubber-coated cables suffer near the plugs. Aluminium alloy shells protect the connectors, and MUXA says the Lightning end fits without removing a phone case. The weak point is the Lightning contacts. Some cables stop charging properly after six months to a year of steady use with no outward sign of wear, and one owner got a moisture-in-connector warning after the first week that cleared once the contacts were polished with plain paper. MUXA recommends wiping a darkened contact with a pencil eraser and pulling the cable out by the plug rather than the cord. Backed by 180 days of after-sale service, this is a good-value pack whose connectors wear like any other inexpensive cable.

Where it draws mostly complaints, we take off 12. Then we read eight owner reviews in full, including the critical ones, and move the score up to 5 points either way depending on how the owners who mention it rated the product. What Buyers Say

Value and the mix of lengths are the big draws: short cables suit a car or desk, the 6 ft ones reach a bed or sofa, and the 10 ft cable crosses a living room. The braided jackets feel sturdy and resist fraying, and colour-coded connectors make it easy to tell whose cable is whose. The complaints are about the connectors rather than the braid: some cables stop charging properly after a few months to a year, one was no longer recognised by an iPhone after a month, and another triggered a moisture warning until its contacts were cleaned.

Setting It Up

  1. Match lengths to places

Put the 3 ft cables in the car and on a desk, the 6 ft cables by the bed and sofa, and the 10 ft cable where the outlet is furthest from your seat.

  2. Use a USB-A power source

Plug the USB-A end into a wall adapter, car port or computer. A charger with only USB-C sockets will not fit.

  3. Insert the Lightning plug fully

Push the Lightning end all the way into the phone. It is designed to fit without removing a case, but check a thick case is not stopping it seating.

  4. Check it is charging

Look for the charging symbol on the screen. If the phone shows an error, unplug, clean the contacts and try again.

  5. Sync if needed

Connect to a computer to back up or transfer photos and music over the same cable.

Common Questions

Do these cables support iPhone fast charging?

No. They are USB-A to Lightning cables rated at 5 volts and 2.4 amps, which is standard USB charging. iPhone fast charging needs a USB-C power delivery charger and a USB-C to Lightning cable.

Are they really Apple MFi certified?

The cables are listed with Apple MFi certification, plus RoHS, CE and FCC marks. MFi certification means the Lightning connector includes Apple's authentication chip, so iPhones should accept it without an unsupported accessory warning.

What lengths are in the pack?

Two 3 ft cables, three 6 ft cables and one 10 ft cable.

Will they work with iPhone 15 or later?

No. They have Lightning connectors, and MUXA lists compatibility up to the iPhone 14 Pro. Recent iPhones use USB-C.

Can I use them to transfer data?

Yes. They sync with a computer at up to 0.48 gigabits per second, the USB 2.0 rate that Lightning cables use.

What should I do if my phone shows a charging or moisture warning?

Unplug the cable and clean the Lightning contacts. MUXA suggests wiping a darkened contact with a pencil eraser, and one owner cleared a moisture warning by polishing the contacts with clean paper.

The Verdict

4.4Out of 5

If your household still runs on Lightning iPhones and iPads, this pack is an easy way to stop moving chargers from room to room. Six MFi-certified cables in 3, 6 and 10 ft lengths cover the car, the bedside, the sofa and the desk, the braided jackets resist fraying, and colour-coded connectors make it simple to share. The limits are worth understanding. These are USB-A cables rated at 5 volts, so an iPhone charges at standard speed, not the fast rate a USB-C charger and cable provide, and you need USB-A ports to plug into. The connectors are the weak point: some cables stop charging properly after months of daily use, and dirty contacts can trigger warnings until they are cleaned. With six in the box, that is a manageable trade for the convenience.

Who should buy it

  • Lightning iPhone households
  • Families who want a colour-coded cable for each person.
  • Anyone who wants cables in the car, bedroom and living room.
  • People with USB-A chargers and car ports already in place.

Who should skip it

  • Owners of USB-C iPhones and iPads.
  • Anyone who wants iPhone fast charging.
  • Buyers who only own USB-C-only wall adapters.

Good-value MFi Lightning cables in useful lengths for charging at standard speed, with connectors that should be treated as consumables.
